Bloom and Blossom:
Heather helps those who become too absorbed in their own problems and worries. Such persons are deeply lonely and in great pain, but they seek contact with others in a dysfunctional manner. Feeling empty inside, the Heather type hopes to relieve its hunger by "feeding" off the psychic attention and sympathy of others. In most cases this excessive self-concern repels others from forming a truly empathetic bond. Thus the Heather type becomes increasingly lonely and dysfunctional.
In extreme states, such a person may learn to manipulate psychic energy so that others are compelled to listen to and attend to their problems. Heather nourishes the soul's feeling of profound emptiness so that it can become stronger within itself, and realize compassion. This is the key to experiencing love, for one is healed from one's own suffering by learning to care for and perceive the suffering of others. Heather heals the soul by reversing psychic currents of energy which are directed too strongly toward the Self. By learning to find itself in caring for others, the
Heather soul becomes self-fulfilled rather than self-absorbed. The colors that represent Heather are pink and purple.
